Our linemen are an important asset to the communities we serve and an integral part of our workforce. They are some of the unsung first responders in times of disaster, working in all conditions to restore power, maintain the electrical distribution system, and so much more.
As linemen retire, there’s a huge gap left behind. To fill those jobs, it’s important to help local students go to schools where they can learn aspects of the trade. They can then return to their communities and contribute as lineman and citizens.
The benefit banquet for the Powder River Energy Apprentice Lineman Scholarship Program will be held on Saturday, April 27, at Gillette’s Cam-Plex Energy Hall. Social hour is at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m., and multiple auctions and raffles follow. Call 1-800-442-3630 for more information on banquet tickets and how to make a donation.
