The Cooperative Difference

Electric cooperatives are electric utilities that are owned by the customers (members) they serve. They are not-for-profit, independently owned businesses that are based in or near the communities they serve.

Cooperative profits, or margins, are either reinvested in the cooperative or returned to the member-owners in the form of capital credits. From 2005 to present PRECorp has returned approximately 3.9 million dollars to members.
